Message from JIDA President

As the President of JIDA, I am honoured by the confidence my fellow members have placed in me and I am committed to serving this organisation to the best of my ability. During my term of service, I have set several goals which I hope to attain.

Firstly, it will be my wish to increase the membership of our organisation. I feel that there is a need to increase our member base and gain a more extensive membership representation which will enable us to increase capacity, to promote JIDA and to gain strong recognition in the interior design arena. Initiatives have been planned or are currently underway to drive membership growth and for JIDA to gain exposure to a wider audience. We have selected Vouch magazine as our branding partner based on their photography, style and design which are in line with our objectives and expectations.

JIDA is a wonderful platform that enhances the professional image of the interior design industry. The association is here to provide support, guidelines and advice to the end-users who are in need of a designer or design firm. Regardless of whether you are an interior designer or a customer, we also provide trainings and workshops to share our know-how to the public to aid in home and space-planning. JIDA also helps to resolve any dispute that may arise between a homeowner and contractor. Hence, it is extremely important that we reach out to more people and let them know of our functions and goals.

My experience being part of the dynamic JIDA team is a memorable one as we are able to exchange information and establish a strong bond among the members. Each and every one of us have grown and learned a lot and now is the time to give back and make a difference. Aside from helping to grow the business and economy, we hope to make a contribution by upholding the standard of interior design in Johor State. It is our aim to foster a positive community within the organisation thus making an impactful contribution to society ultimately. Let JIDA be a source of inspiration and we, as an organisation, continue to move forward with the commitment we pledged.
