Mr James Cooke
Principal of Paragon International School
Hailing from Ireland, Mr. James Cooke has lived and worked throughout the world. Previously the owner of a successful contracting business, Mr. James discovered his passion for education while sponsoring the tuition of children at orphanages in Vietnam during the 1990s. He went on to obtain his Bachelors’ Degree in English, along with a highly-qualified teaching licensure. He subsequently obtained a Masters’ Degree in Education and will complete his Doctorate in Educational Leadership Degree in 2019. With over 15 years of expertise in international school education, including working in Vietnam and Myanmar, he commences as the Principal of Paragon International School in 2018.
Paragon School’s educators strive to help students achieve not only academic success, but to also improve social and communication skills. Under Mr. James Cooke’s tenure, parent communication is encouraged, and a more hands-on approach is adapted by teachers to become involved in other aspects of students’ lives through insightful discussion. Dr Ng Hien Ghim
Principal of Paragon Private Secondary School
Dr Ng Hien Ghim has over 20 years of teaching experience and was previously the Principal of a private school in Johor Bahru for over 8 years. Since graduating from Northumbria University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance, he embarked on his teaching career by starting up a tuition centre to teach accounting and mathematics. Teaching gives him a strong sense of achievement as he is thankful for the chance to shape the students’ future.

Dr Ng Hien Ghim firmly believes that having leadership and exemplary behavior are just as important as academic qualifications. Mdm Lee Hian

Mdm Lee was an IT professional for over 10 years before she launched her career in the education field. With a strong inclination towards learning, Mdm Lee discovered that teaching is indeed her calling so it was only natural that she entered the education sector in the 1980s. After a long stint in Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Mdm Lee founded Beacon International College, Singapore, a private college which offers courses in Business, Design and Hospitality. Mdm Lee’s qualifications and exemplary qualities makes her the ideal candidate to drive Paragon Education towards achieving its mission and vision.

The education system of Malaysia is constantly undergoing changes and improvements and Mr Chong, who joined Paragon Private Primary School in 2017, believes that Paragon Education is the place to create impact.
