Adrian Jiun, founder and photographer of BLACK PIXION studio, has always been fascinated by the world of arts and fashion from a young age. He graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore, holding a BA (hons) in Stop Motion Animation. Currently he manages his full time position as a fashion photographer; while still remaining as a part time lecturer in LASALLE.

With his background in Stop Motion animation, photography came as a natural to Adrian. He envisions and portrays his view and expression of fashion through the art of photography, in combination with his flare of animation talent. Adrian’s humble beginnings in photography came about with doing test shoots in collaborations with top model agencies from Singapore. Thailand, and Europe such as Avenue Management, NOW Model Management, The Nu Management, Basic Models Management, Carrie Models, Looque Models, Mint Models 21MM Model Management, Apple Model Management, VN Model Management etc., just to name a few. His unique style of photography work quickly spread through words of mouth among local and international fashion and arts industries. Adrian was then selected as one of the Young Photographers of the year 2013 for the well-known Audi Fashion Festival Singapore, and was given the honour and opportunity to exhibit a series of his personal work of conceptual Fashion photography at the Moments in Style Exhibition sponsored by Sony Singapore. With professional projects and assignments pouring in, Adrian’s passion for photography propels to even higher levels, in which he decided to set up a photography company, known as BLACK PIXION Studio (www.blackpixion.com).

Most of Adrian’s photography inspiration comes from these few world-renowned international photographers – Annie Leibovitz, Tim Walker and the talented local export Zhang Jing Na; whom was a former LASALLE graduate as well. Passion for the art of photography gave Adrian the determination to pursue and spread his photography work further, with the hopes of expanding internationally. He aims to create a platform in the future to gather talented and emerging photographers to share their experiences and knowledge.

Adrian has worked with a list of local and international clients, including Lifestyle Asia, Jute Magazine, Couture Troopers Mag, WTF (Wardrobe.Trends.Fashion), A Collective Edit, Actually Mag, REVLON Professional, GOLDWELL, Coda.co, One Ounce Jewellery, Mistermiss, GRIPZ Shoes, LeGrand Wedding, Vikas Dayal Couture, DEPRESSION Label, Fwardrobe etc. Never forgetting his home country, Adrian has also spread his photography passion by working with clients from Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Europe, in which he has done shoots for local magazines, boutiques, and salons.
